United Nations Opinion Leader Program The Class Trip team has been tapped by the United Nations to develop
the support of the next generation of socially conscious
Americans. The creating of a “Junior Committee” is part of our
charge, for which we have brought the support of countless fashion,
entertainment, and cultural luminaries into the fold. The lead
project was the premier of the film TRADE by Kevin Klein, the first
film premier ever to be held at the UN, and one which was opened by the
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon. For this event, The Class Trip
worked with the Unted nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to
developed a host committee that included Meryl Streep, Hillary Swank,
Sigourney Weaver, Sam Waterston, Stanley Tucci, Candice Bergen, Gloria
Steinem, Phoebe Cates, Marisa Tomei, Eve Ensler, Ivanka Trump, Bianca
Jagger, Jack McCollough, Lazaro Hernandez, Ann Dexter-Jones, Charlotte
Ronson, Marc Ronson, Bijou Phillips, Zani Guggelman, Jessica Stam, Lucy
Sykes, Ted Turner, Eleonora Kennedy, and her holiness Sai Maa, Trade
producer Roland Emmerich (director/producer/writer of “The Day After
Tomorrow”, “The Patriot”, “Godzilla”, and “Independence Day”), and
Terry George (director/producer/writer of “Hotel Rwanda” and director
of “In the Name of the Father”). |
