The New York Observer / Cushman
& Wakefield Presents Location May 2007
The Class Trip team developed a groundbreaking program
for the New York Observer and their largest advertiser, real estate
giant Cushman & Wakefield. Class Trip’s concept,
creation, production, and publicity for a one-week temporary fashion
and art exhibition and performance space brought to life both company’s
commitment to New York City real estate, and led the charge in
positioning the paper as an “insider” source for arts and culture news.
Our team conceptualized and executed each and every aspect of the
program including curating an exhibition to include fantastical
creations by designers Libertine, Susan Cianciolo, Victoria Bartlett,
Benjamin Cho, Ruffian, and Elise Overland. We the selected
and managed the interior designer, developed and designed a program
website and all creative materials, developed a seven day calendar of
events, commissioned custom t-shirts from each designer, developed a
charity partner, and edited and printed six custom mini-issues of the
New York Observer on the newspaper presses. The Class Trip
team also executed the full public relations campaign that resulted in
over 100 million media impressions in the consumer and trade press.
